Women cricket is not at all famous in India. People are not even familiar about a single woman cricketer. Still Indian women are not losing hope. They are doing their best.

Smriti Mandhana is Indian woman cricketer. She has played many valuable innings for India. Born in 1996, this 20 year old girl is very confident and is thankful to her family for their support and help in sharpening her game.

Smriti Mandhana’s father and brother knows cricket well and they have provided tips and tricks of the game to Smriti as and when she wanted. In couple of interviews to other media houses, Smriti acknowledged their contribution.

I can easily talk cricket with them (family), they know my game so well. His (father) inputs at practice are really valuable.

My father was a cricketer, so was my brother. They all suggested me to take a break – to take some time off and not think about cricket.

My father always encouraged us to play cricket. In fact, he wanted that we both play for India some day. My brother opted out of cricket but I am happy that I could fulfill my father’s dream.
